“Riverdale” (8 p.m., The CW): After learning that his dad might run for mayor, Archie begins to grow concerned that the Lodges may have found their newest pawn in Fred. Meanwhile, Betty becomes increasingly suspicious of Chic’s strange behavior and enlists Kevin’s help to figure out what he’s hiding. Also, Cheryl and Penelope are surprised when they learn that Clifford left a secret will, and Jughead makes a major discovery in his quest to take down Hiram.

“The X-Files” (8 p.m., Fox): Tonight’s episode isn’t for the squeamish. While investigating human organ theft, Mulder and Scully uncover a mysterious and creepy cult that engages in some macabre rituals.

“Survivor” (8 p.m., CBS): The adventures continue as the castaways get physical during a classic water challenge. Also, a pair of castaways on the outs tries to shake things up.

“Law & Order: SVU” (9 p.m., NBC): A girl’s tragic death becomes a criminal case when a surgeon harvests her organs without parental consent. Callie Thorne and Janel Moloney guest star.

“Designated Survivor” (10 p.m., ABC): When a video of the president visiting prison leaks to the media, his team works to minimize the fallout. Meanwhile, a surprise White House demonstration has deeper ties to the president than anyone first realizes.
