Release the hounds! (and the pugs, and the corgis, and the collies…)


It’s that time of year again: The 142nd annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is taking place Monday and Tuesday at Madison Square Gardens in New York City.

More than 2,800 dogs representing more than 200 breeds will be prancing, jumping, running and posing for judges’ approval.

There are competitors from all 50 states and 16 countries, including Australia, China and Japan, according to the show organizers.

According to a report from Reuters, A borzoi, pug, bichon frise and border collie won Monday’s group competitions at the 142nd annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and will vie for the contest’s top prize.
